“Entree van Zuid” coming up
Vestia Feijenoord stelt -zolang het pand leeg staat- het Wooncafe op de Hillelaan 13 ter beschikking voor de “Entree van Zuid”. Inmiddels is de karrevracht aan hout gearriveerd bij de werkplaats en worden de eerste prototypes in elkaar gezet. Zodra de eerste meubels gebruiksklaar zijn zullen RAAF en de Bende een aantal “Open Ateliers” organiseren waarbij iedereen in de buurt kan aanhaken. Expo ‘This is South’
From April on RAAF is all about Instagram. This popular Iphone application connects RAAF to all the users on Rotterdam South. Together with Jeroen Moor and Marco Slingerland -Instagram fanatics- RAAF presents the exhibition ‘This is South’. We follow South through the eye of the camera: Afrikaanderwijk, Kop van Zuid, Maashaven and beyond! On April 7th we’ll open the exhibition with tons of photographs made by ‘pro Instagrammers’ of the SeeMyCity-collective @croyable, @mariannehope, @macenzo en @evedeville. But also with pictures made by Jeroen Moor (@charlietash) and Marco Slingerland (@marcos010)! The Right to Answer
In addition to the opening of RAAF, we will also launch the first exhibition called: ‘The Right to Answer’ – a project about education. The idea behind the project is to show that while the right to education, knowledge and self-development in a country like the Netherlands seems self-evident, in many other countries people are deprived or blocked from this right. Knowledge and self-development are closely linked to cooperation and to expressing your opinion. So, for this project we’ve collaborated with various Rotterdam-based visual designers who each give their interpretation of the theme and on the other hand, with youngsters from Rotterdam South who will textually work on a poster [...]
