In other words: dig out your closet and bring your swappable clothes, accessories, bags and shoes (max 10) to RAAF. All the clothes you bring will be traded with you for SWAP-Points. While you wait for the auction you can enjoy a lazy afternoon with manicure, henna, great music, drinks, and a stack of HODA magazines to read! Before the big auction will commence you can try on the pieces that are brought in. Which fabulous pieces will you take home?! Wanna Swap?

Wanna Swap? How?

1. Your clothes will be checked by our Fashion Stylists. In return for your clothes you’ll gain SWAP-points to be used at the auction.
2. The clothes will be on display to be fitted before the auction commences
3. You place pieces of clothing that you would like to trade for SWAP-Points on the “Wanted Shelf”
4. During the auction, pieces on the “Wanted Shelf” will be auctioned among the highest SWAP-Points bidder.

Bring your clothes: You can bring your clothing till the 17th of June. Be sure to bring your clothes before that time. We’re opened from monday till saturday. Because or stylists have to cover a lot of clothes, the deadline for bringing clothes is 14:00 on the day of the event.

“The Bende” & RAAF will be working together on the furniture of the terrace of RAAF from the 15th of May on. We both have a big heart for reusing old materials. We’ve managed to buy a load of old market stalls. The wood and iron from the market will be the core of this project. The target is a colourful furniture set to break the dark atmosphere of the Hillekopplein, where RAAF is located.

The Bende is an initiative of the Treehouse Foundation and is specialized in the cultivation of waste material. Through mobile workshops they can work on site on diverse projects. Along with professionals, local residents, artists and enthusiasts, they for instance built furniture for festivals and events. Next up is the terrace of RAAF .

Vestia Feijenoord lets us use the old Cafe on the Hillelaan 13. Meanwhile the load of wood arrived at the workshop and the first prototypes are made. Once the first pieces of furniture can be used we’ll organize a series of “Open Workshops” where everyone in the neighborhood can join in. To share skills, meet others and to break the dark look of the Hillelaan.

Unfortunately the kitchen doesn’t run it self. Therefore RAAF is the main sponsor for team Treehouse. The Treehouse team consists of Bas, Floortje, Marloes, Piet & Rene. They’ll be driving all the way to Rome in a 1600 km competition. Each team also chooses a charity to sponsor. Our team chose “Tuin aan de Maas”. This garden is a fantastic initiative of the people living at the Mullerpier. A green way to make people in the neighbourhood connect with one another and learn about sustainability at the same time.

At the garden of the Maas, a pile of old logs is waiting to be sawn into furniture. The one thing missing is the tools to do it. By sponsoring our team, the Tuin will be one step closer to achieving it’s goals. You can sponsor the charity by buying a piece of furniture, or by donating some money. According to Groen Links, the planned cuts are now a lot more social compared to the plans which were discussed earlier with the PVV. According to critics, however, these plans bring the bill to regular employees and retirees, and will make the economy shrink even further.
